Oh, that is great news!! Maybe Ms. Holly can use some of this money to fund the judges in next year's Miss Chilton pageant.

What a rude and childish comment... Holly does more for special needs children (the reason for the grant, in case you declined to read the details of the article) than you obviously realize... being involved in community projects is just an extra bonus of having someone like Holly around... if you're so opposed to volunteers, then don't enter your child in a pageant... and grow up!

Sounds like a sore loser to me. It takes hours upon hours for the volunteers to put on these county pageants. The winners are just three peoples opinion ( the judges). They are certified judges and these county pageants are very professional when it comes to the judges. Having sit on the board of more than one of these pageants, I know that the judges are not obtained by the individuals that are physically working with the girls due to the fact of risking the inappropriate comments like bamagrad99's. Holly Deavers is one of the most loving individuals in Chilton County and volunteers her time away from her own family to promote Chilton County events. You are really teaching your child to be a "good sport". If the pageants make you that angry the don't enter them. They are supposed to be fun for the girls. By the way, the girls do have fun, It's the mothers that get all bent out of shape. Let's get back to the real reason for the article. Grant money for our special education kids. Way to go Holly and other Special Ed. teachers mentioned in the article. Thanks Walmart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's hard to be a pageant mom when you only have little boys. Their dad would be quite upset if I tried to put a dress on either of them. Doesn't mean my heart doesn't break over corruption.

bamagrad99----you sound like you are a little hostile over not being named Miss CC yourself. I thought your posting was very childish. The article was about doing good for the children..not about a pageant.

Cain't we all just get along? ...

Yes, can't we all just get along. There are more important things to get upset over.

I just found out about all of this. I am not sure what is going on???? I just know that I help the girls with the practices. I do not get the judges, see the judges, know the judges, or talk to the judges. I might smile if I pass them while they are coming down the hall, but that is it. I am just a volunteer. I only help the girls. That is all I care about. I am sorry if someone is mad about something. I would never cheat, or do anything wrong. I hate that someone is mad. I very sorry about this situation. I wish that I would not be talked about when I did nothing wrong. If you would like to talk to me about something feel free to give me a call. I do not know of any corruption that I am aware of anyway.

Holly, people who REALLY know you, love you and know that the posting from bamagrad99 was garbage! Don't sweat the small stuff. Let God be the judge.

Holly, pay no attention to what bamagrad99 said. It was pure garbage. I think that it is great that you try and help the girls. More people should be willing to help instead of sitting around judging people. The only judge should be God.

Being a contestant in the pageant I can assure you Holly only volunteers with the girls! I have known Holly for a long time and she would not allowing anything like you are suggesting to take place. This article was to thank WalMart for their donation not to talk about the people it was helping. Holly you do an amazing job with Ms. Chilton County and with your children!!

Looks like bamagrad99 has some explaining to do! Don't just post something like that and run!

Why would someone post something like that babagrad99? Holly is not only my Sunday School Teacher, but she is a wonderful person. I was also a contestant in the pageant, I can honestly say that Holly was never seen with the judges, she was always back stage no where near the them. The artical had NOTHING to do with a beauty pageant that took place months ago! Thank you Holly for all you do for the community!

There's just no pleasing some people.

If bamagrad99 has no evidence to substantiate that accusation, then he or she owes this lady an apology.

I'm assuming this poster has probably been back on and read the comments of everyone else and is wishing now they could retract this remark. My guess is bamagrad99 has already changed their moniker.

Yeah, looking at bamagrad99's profile, it looks as if she created her account (on 11/20) just to post that.

PrAaHe, In the forum world that's what you call a "Drive by Flamer". As a Bama Fan I wish she had chose a different moniker! LOL!!!

That's just rude! You should apologize, bamagrad99!! I work with Holly, and she is precious to be around. The kids love her, and we love her. Don't let people that have no idea what they are talking about get to you, Holly. Sounds like a huge case of sour grapes!!
